Excellent family day out, we really enjoyed walking around the valley with our two dogs on a sunday afternoon its about 70 acres in total and lots of different tracks, with lake's where people are fishing and the ruins of an old abbey with lots of history behind it. A small, free car park is at the bottom of the... More

Dear Vpercy, It was very kind of you to present us in such a glowing light. In particular your praise for the staff is much appreciated. They all work extremely hard to make a visit to our Museum a delight and praise such as yours makes all the all the difference. We are already planning new attractions for next year... More

Went with my 7 and 9 yr old children on a bright but damp day. They loved it - can wander safely around a range of buildings (farming, industrial, home, ruined abbey etc), with displays, animals, activities (we met the blacksmith and learned how to look after the farm animals), woodland trail, a play area with tree house, climbing wall... Joined as an annual member and visited several times. over 4 or 5 visits we found new and exciting things every time. Definitely a place to while away the hours with children learning and having fun with ducks and turkeys wandering round making all sorts of noise. The kids love it. It was only on the 3rd visit did we... More

We visit Greenfield Valley often and it is an excellent little known attraction on the River Dee Estuary coast. In addition to the farm where they have activities on all through the summer holidays you can wander through the abbey (makes a great place for hide and seek) and then up the valley to explore the old factories and industrial... Visited Basingwerk Abbey in February 2011, whilst the rest of the attractions were closed we were still able to explore the ruins. This would be a wonderful picnic hotspot in the summer and even though it was a rainy day when we visited we really enjoyed ourselves. More

There is so much to see and do at this heritage park, the farm and old buildings are really interesting (although you have to pay a small entrance fee to the Farm the rest is free) and access is from two car parks. There are lakes and old industrial buildings as well as lovely walks and the ruins of Basingwick... More

Visited today to view the steam driven Victorian lemonade bottling plant in operation. Dedicated work by the team of volunteers has created an attraction of considerable interest. The building museum is maintained immaculately. Reception staff are attentive and courteous. Both the museum and heritage park park offer young people an excellent experience of how things used to be. Clearly there... More
