This is a nice place to visit, not only because of the forest but the road that leads to it. Nice drive n the bendy roads. The trees are amazing.

I've been wanting to see the redwoods since I was a little kid, and this trip did not disappoint. It was truly an awe-inspiring experience and should most definitely be on your itinerary if you are in San Francisco. I dare say this was actually better than Alcatraz.
If you do go, get there early. Parking fills up fast. We...

Such a humbling experience at Muir Woods at first i joked about the decibel meter at the cafe, but then I realized just how spiritual this place is. A must see do not miss Muir Woods one of the best places I have every been to in the world
We visited Muir Woods twice in our 1 week stay in San Francisco! The first time was with Tower Tours and we enjoyed it so much, we came back 5 days later once we had rented a car. Spent a few hours walking amongst the redwoods. We went during the week and got there early enough to get a parking spot in the closest parking lot. When we came back out cars were parked all the way down the road! Also busses had arrived dropping people off.
I would try to get there early in the morning on...

One thing about natural history is that despite all your fore knowledge and assumptions you can still be overawed and surprised by the real thing. Those trees just have to be seen.
Very beautiful park. However the ride into the park is hair-raising. If you are afraid of heights you might want to blindfold yourself as long as you're not driving.
