Great history and architecture. It is right across the street from the world class New Bedford Whaling Museum.

An old church in need of restoration. Worth walking across the street from the whaleing museum to see history of the seamen of New Bedford.

It won't take much of your time to go thru the Seamen's Bethel, so don't pass it up. It was very interesting to read the tributes to sailors lost at sea. Moby Dick fans can sit in the pew of Herman Melville.

We went to a service for four clergy who gave their lives to save others in WW2 off the coast of Newfoundland. Clergy from the area were the speakers as well as the mayor. It is interesting to sit in the bethel and see the plaques to missing and lost sailors from the area.
