Enjoyed the walk to the Cove - lots of birds and lovely scenery. The weather was lovely and warm so when I got there I was annoyed I'd not brought the bathers. However a paddle was fine!

A nice walk and spot for a picnic, also checkout hot water beach and tauranga bay. The track for tauranga bay is ok and starts at the north end of waihi beach.

Admittedly we love coastal rock formations. This takes the cake! The 45min relatively easy walk is inconsequential given the majesty of this place. All the rock formations are terrific not just the most amazing arch. The beach sublime as well. Signs about potential rock falls, so I wouldn't play around too long at the edges. a good track but you need to have a certain amount of fitness as there is quite a few steps

This has got to be one of the most beautiful beaches in NZ. The rock formations are simply stunning.

Follw the dignposts to the cove car park. From there, you have got a 35-45min walk to the cove itself, with a flight of 147 steps at the end. Trust me, its worth it. Love the area, but be smart and don't go under the Cathedral Cove....lots of falling rocks!

This place is a "must".... just do it, and preferably early in the morning to have the beach to yourselves. Our photo is taken around 10am...
