Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been going to Mirage for years and love the way they color and highlight my hair. When my main person has been too booked to fit me in for a while, I have been able to see a few of the other stylists and all of them have done a great job with blonde highlights and some darker lowlights blended in so my roots don’t show as dramatically. They are fun to talk to, super nice and all seem like friends/family there. Once another stylist helped mine out by washing my hair out when I switched from wanting/needing a full highlight instead of a half due to change in color preferences. So it took longer than my stylist had originally booked out for me. Both were kind and courteous about it and did their best to make it work. I was super impressed with the help that other stylist offered so that mine wouldn’t get to behind. As I did not realize that my request would add so much time to the service that day.

I have nothing but the highest regard for Haley's Salon. I have been to her multiple times and always walked away being pleased with the results. I have found her fast, reliable and highly professional. I had highlights and a haircut. Haley did such a great job, that my daughter asked me how it was that I didn't have any grey hair. I am 60, but the color was so well done my hair color blended with the grey hair.

They contracted a lady by the name of Janalee for microblading. I went in December to get them. When she finished she asked if there was anything she'd like me to do differently, I asked about making them thicker and she told me she can't add hair, that I was stuck with how my hair grew on my eyebrows. I'm pretty sure the definition of microblading is to add hair like strokes in places that you don't have it? On top of getting me back late, constantly checking her phone, doing a terrible job of numbing me and only spending 45 minutes. I paid $300 for crap. Then when I tried calling the salon in January to schedule me touchup, I was told both times that they'd have to call me back with her schedule. Guess what, I never got a call back. I ended up going to another girl who did an amazing job in every way possible, if you need a referral to someone far beyond what this salon has to offer, I have found her. I recently called both the salon and Janalee seeking a refund after seeing the difference in what Janalee did vs my new girl. They only want to compensate me in more services or products, why would I ever want to go back to this horrible place and people? Needless to say, they'd rather go to smalls claims court rather than right their wrongs. Beware of mirage day spa and foxy esthetics.

I agree with the last review. Worst customer service. Same idea... no time to do the complete service despite me paying for it. I was late by 5 mins because I couldn't find the place. I called over and over whilst trying to find the facility with no answer. Finally get hold of her and she tells me it's too late to have the service performed. This was after SHE had reschedule two times prior.

I'm surprised to see these other reviews because I had a great experience with Haley. I bought her Groupon package, which yes I'm sure the original prices are inflated to make the deal sound sweeter, but A LOT of people do that on Groupon so it seems like it should just be expected. I was late to the appointment, she was totally understanding about it. My hair was recovering from an AWFUL experience at Fantastic Sams so I was afraid to add highlights and cause further damage to my already fried hair, but my roots were out of control so I had to at least look into it. She did an amazing job without damaging my hair any further. She gave me a great cut that was able to get rid of a lot of the damage without going too short. It felt healthy when I left! I haven't had healthy looking hair in months! She was chatty which is fine with me because I am chatty too. I never felt like our conversation was one sided. She took the time to teach me how to use a round brush so I can give my hair a break from the flat iron - super informative with tips on getting my hair completely repaired. I haven't gone back yet because I'm not ready to have my roots done, but I fully intend on returning to her wherever she works. She was fast and her prices are fantastic.

I have had many haircuts throughout my life and this will go down in history as being the most worst and regretful experience I have ever had!

I should have known something was wrong when I walked up to her salon with a smile on my face, ready to greet who could potentially be my new favorite stylist and upon saying hello she replies, with the utmost disdain, "We're not gonna have enough time to blow-dry your hair." No hello. No handshake. No smile. Just attitude. See I was 15 minutes late for our appointment and I truly do believe that my bad experience stems from her unprofessional, unethical and intentional revenge towards my tardiness. So if you do go see her, don't make her mad because she'll make you pay for it. I did text her to inform her that I was going to be late. She replied by saying she had an 8:30 appointment that day. Our appointment was originally for 7:30. She sent me a text early in the morning and asked if I could come in at 7:45 instead. Had I known she she already had an 8:30 scheduled, I would have never made the appointment. It is not in my interest to pay for any haircut and style when the hairstylist only has 45 minutes to work on my hair.

Next she ushered me towards the shampoo sink. This was 2nd sign that something was wrong and I should have trusted my instincts to just walk out at this point. I have never in my life had a hairstylist pull so hard on my hair while shampooing it. Even now, the next day, I still have a headache.

After the most painful shampoo of my life, she started cutting my hair while simultaneously talking about all the drama in her life. Which isn't necessarily bad but she actually delved way too deep into her personal affairs for my liking. During this time she would completely stop cutting my hair to talk to me. I kept wondering, if we're running so late, why is she stopping (for long periods of time) to tell me all of her drama? During this entire horrific experience, she never once asked me a single question about myself and when I did say something about myself I got absolutely no response.

Some time later she informed me that her 8:30 sent a text to let her know that she was going to be 15 minutes late. Haley says to me, "You're lucky she's late. Now we can blow-dry your hair." While she was blow-drying my hair, her 8:30 appointment walked in and Haley says to her, "Don't feel bad, she (referring to me) was late too." How completely rude and unprofessional is that?

Now finally, the worst part. As if it actually could get any worse. Shortly after I got home, it didn't take me long to realize how horribly she had cut my bangs. They were nowhere near straight and she actually missed huge chunks which I later had to cut myself. My overall haircut is pretty straightforward but I rely on my bangs as the 'personality' of my hair. I actually wrote out this review yesterday and decided not to post it because I though that karma will eventually take care of this woman and it doesn't need my help to push it along. Well I had salt put in my wounds this afternoon when I got my bangs wet and examined them more closely only to find out that they were even worse than I originally thought.

Lastly, her Groupon deal is a joke. It's obvious she has inflated her original price so people like me think they're getting a good deal from a hairstylist they wouldn't normally be able to afford. All this woman is interested in is acting like a revolving door to get as many haircuts in one day as possible. She told me personally that she double-books herself. How can you expect to get your money's worth from someone who cares so little that they will double-book themselves on purpose.

Well there you have it, my short-story of the worst haircut experience of my life. I hope the owner of Mirage Day Spa reads this and asks Haley to take her services elsewhere. She is a terrible reflection on the business as a whole. 2 out of 5 stars on Yelp is terrible.

I made an appointment with Haley on Jan. 15th. I had looked on groupon and found her ad. I called to ask her if the price included long hair and she said yes. She also had me bypass groupon and I could just pay her. I came to my appointment at 2:00 and sat in her chair about 2:20. I told her I wanted about one inch chunks streaked with two shades lighter and 1 shade darker. My hair is dark brown. I told her I wanted NO blond in my hair. She put my hair in the foils and left me for over an hour without even checking it. then she checked it and rinsed it and went to comb it and it was a ratted mess. FRIED. Then when I looked in the mirror it was so stripped it looked grey. I told her I was not happy so she put a toner on it and left me there for another 45 min. While she did a cut and talked. I got home at 5:45. The next day I noticed blisters and burns all the way around my hair line. I text her the pictures and she said she was sorry. No follow up call no what can I do for you NOTHING. As time went on and I waited for a call my fried hair has broken at every spot she touched my hair is fried and broken and terrible. I called her a couple of months later and asked her what she could do that my hair was still breaking. SHE OFFERED ME A FREE TRIM. I then told her I wanted my money back and she said she would leave me a good conditioner. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I would have given anyone there money back and offered anything free for a year after I saw the burns let alone the fried broken hair. Long story short this greedy self absorbed girl sent me a horrible conditioner for blonds and 37.50. Beware!

I went into the Mirage Day Spa, right inside the sports mall on 5500 S. 900 E. and had a pedicure 2 days ago. The staff is very friendly, the calf massage they gave me along with the pedicure was awesome. The chair I sat in tilted back, had heat & massage -- the ceiling was painted to look like a cloudy day outside. Best pedicure I've ever had (Michelle was the person who did my pedicure).
