July 2009. Almost empty while visting on a Sunday afternoon. We found this one of the more impressive western state capitol structures we have seen. With one of the best and commanding views of many state capitol structures. A must for capitol history buffs! more

I visited the Capital Building at around 9 AM. And while I found it nice, I did feel like I wasn't welcome. I wasn't reprimanded or anything, but it just felt as if I was bothering the people who were working there. But maybe it's not like that all the time. more

The Utah State Capitol building has always been one of my favorite buildings in Salt Lake. After its extensive retrofitting and renovation, it really is one of the most impressive state capitols in the whole country. First of all, it's gigantic.
