The title of my review says it all. Just be sure and dress the children accordingly so they can enjoy the fountains. Can you even imagine...Children anxious to go to a shopping area. Yup! The promise of a cooling stop at the fountains encourages peaceful shopping beforehand.

This is a nice, rather laid back, open air shopping center. There is a great water/splash fountain for the kids to play in during the summer months. And, if you check the event schedule, you may find another fun activity the family will enjoy. We saw the Budweiser Clydesdales here once. All ages enjoyed that! There are lots of upscale... More

All the shops have moved to the new City Creek Mall. I wonder what is going to happen to all the empty stores. It would be fun to visit if you like ghost malls.

We had a great time checking out the hot sauce shop. Enjoyed Starbucks, Ben & Jerry and Rumbi's. Walking distance to the planetarium.

The Gateway still has great food and fun shopping, even without a major, "big box" anchor store. The smaller shops are lots of fun and the ambience is wonderful. As are the restaurants. Thaifoon is one of my all-time favorites in SLC for interesting and flavorful Asian foods.

People make a big deal out of the new City Creek, but the Gateway is still the best in my opinion. It has a great theater, a variety of places to eat, and Barnes & Noble. I highly recommend it.

The fountain is huge and beautiful, changing with synchronized music. There was also a flashy, very tall Christmas tree that dramatically changed with the music.
