This museum in a nondescript strip store center, is now run by fifth generation family devoted to all things turquoise. The literally wrote the book on turquiose, and they will sell you a copy. If the staff there can't answer your question on turquoise, it can't be answered.

Just across from Old Town, next to the Walgreen's in an unassuming strip mall, you'll find some of the best turquoise in the world! I was blown away with the tens of thousands of pieces from all over the world in their museum. And there is a store too. I'll be a repeat customer!

If you plan to purchase turuoise, unless you are an experienced buyer, visit this museum. If you like turquoise, visit this museum. It is located in an unassuming storefront and doesn't look like what you'd expect. But it holds an absolutely amazing collection of rough, cabochons, and jewelry, representing over 100 mines, most from the US. The educational section of... More

This museum is a great stop if you plan on purchasing any turquoise while in the south west. The museum is small, but is loaded with relevant exhibits about the stone. Exhibits range from mining, to the different varieties of color, and even some samples of fakes, the museum is really helpful if you are interested in this subject. They... More

I had read previous review about a month ago as I was planning trip to Albuquerque. Based on that we decided to check it out. Wow, I am very impressed. We learned a lot in a very short time. It is next to Old Town and well worth the 30-45min. it takes. Anyone planning to buy turquoise should go here... More

Located near Old Town, this little museum is a gem in itself. Take 30 minutes to check it out. I knew nothing about turquoise when I walked in, and I walked out armed with a lot of information to do a little shopping. The owners have a passion for this gemstone. Be sure to check it out.
