This museum is well done, interesting, easy to follow along the history of the Marines and the history of the USA. It is indeed a must see. My husband and I have been there twice, and absolutely love it! I've taken well over 400 photos and the museum is not even 100% complete. I gave money to support the building of this monument that sits about 40 minutes south of DC in Quantico, VA. You cannot miss this awesome spectacle that shoots a glass sphere straight up in the sky. My father was stationed at Quantico in the 60s and he was a tour guide at the old Marine Museum. Needless to say, we were excited when we found out that the new museum had finally opened in Nov 06. I live a few miles away from this place and I've been there several times. I majored in Military History in college and I've been to a lot of military musuems, I can easily say this is one of the best! My son read about the opening of the Marine Museum in November 2006, and chose this as his #1 activitiy for our trip to DC. What a great choice!!
