If you're in Providence and you're seeing a show, chances are it's at Lupo's. That's a shame, because it's one of the worst managed venues in the area. Saw the Swell Season last night. Old theatre, we sat in the orchestra area 6 rows back. Blown away by the accoustics and scale of the place. If you fav band plays here, go see them, and sit up front!! more
Lupo's used to be a Providence staple - the cramped sweaty club where I saw Elvis Costello, Sonic Youth, and countless others.
