We took the tram up to stop #9 and walk to come back by the old telephone line. It was awesome! Go in the morning, bring water and your camera! It took us about 3 hours including the time of the tram and it was not very difficult. more

We took the first tram up in the morning (you could walk the 3.7 miles) at the top you have a choice of taking several trails into the mountains & canyons or walking the road you came up on. We chose the road because of time contraints. There are a number of trailheads off the road if you change your... more

This trip was simply out of the world.I felt like in Heaven. The trails 2 and 9 are the best with gushing waterfalls and lots of places to picnic. The cardinals are shy and I could not snap them but they are bright and beautiful. The driver showed some more birds, snakes and mesquite, saguaro for entertainment. My stay at Lowes ventana canyon resort... more

Sabino Canyon is a beautiful little canyon on the edge of Tucson. Bring sunblock, lots and lots of water or Gatorade, water friendly clothes, hat, sunglasses. Bring your camera for beautiful pictures; great for portraits of thekids, etc. This place is really great for an early a.m. run or walk. The open tram is lots of fun for the kids... more

There is a tram that runs up and down the canyon. It's worth the extra cost for the ease and convenience. Very pretty place! Take your time. Bring a picnic! more

We visited Sabino Canyon yesterday. The tram, which is actually a shuttle bus, was running to stop 9, the furthest stop on the paved road in the Canyon. The cost is $8/person but you are allowed to get on and off all day if you wish. Some of the stops are beside the stream and people were in swimming. There... more

We spent the morning hiking at Sabino Canyon. After paying $5 to park, we had the choice of trails, but we chose to follow Sabino Canyon, rather than the shorter Bear Canyon trail. The hike we took was 3.7 miles one-way, up the paved road that the tram takes. It was a fairly easy path, although the last half mile... more

Sabino Canyon was one of the first places I visited after moving to Tucson for a few months. Absolutely beautiful area. After my first visit, I bought the annual pass! A multiude of trails, and a tram for those who would prefer to ride than walk. The tram company also offers evening tram tours several times a month during the... more
