if you are looking for the history of the Witch trails this is the place to go to. i went with my wife and kids and they loved it. everyone was so nice and the tour of the Wicca's background was very informative and eye opening. i was kind of on the hedge about the museum after reading the reviews... more

This is the one stop I take all of my guests to when we visit Salem. The "tour" is informative and interesting and gives a nice overview of the Salem Witch Trials, with just a few errors. The mannequins are hokey and some of the stuff is cheesy but I think that they do a good job in introducing people... more

This is the most disapointing museum ever!!!! 90% of the other reviews below are spot on. Bad dusty department store mannequins and really bad voice overs for the first tour. Visited Salem on Sunday 26th October. Great atmosphere in the town and big queues for the top attractions. Particularly this museum. Wish I'd planned the visit beforehand and read trip advisor. We were cruise ship tourists, and found our way from Boston to the Salem Witch Museum in Sept '08 (in pouring rain!). We thought the introductory presentation was good, but the experience tailed off sharply thereafter. Once the show was done there was very little to see, and (sadly) the 'tour' and guide's talk didn't really add to the experience.... more

To call this place a museum is a joke! The first room lights up stupid displays, one at a time, with bad voice-over acting playing the parts. Even the 5 years olds were bored.
