This place, in my opinion, was the best tour. The dungeon put a very real and frightening light on what the men, women, and children were forced to endure during this hysteria.

Yes I agree the props were a but cheesy but the overall experience is worth the trip. The building itself is interesting and the short skit at the beginning was well done. Our guide was very informative and stressed the importance of this event in history and how sometimes the "witch" atmosphere of Salem overshadows what really happened in 1692.

Tour starts with a dramatization of the witch trials and then they lead you to the dungeon and describe each scene for you to experience what the conditions were like for those accused of witchcraft and awaited trial or sentencing. Very informative and we had a very knowledgeable guide.

This one is probably just right for the not so brave little ones. It gives a good mix of history and drama. The dioramas are a little sad. But we were limited by the kids. Next time when they are older we can do one of the scarier ones.

We are originally from the West Coast, and while my teenage daughter had studied the Witch Trials, my 10 year old son had little knowledge and this was a perfect introduction for him. Our tour guide was very upbeat and animated and the actresses were surprisingly good given the repetitive nature of what they are doing. The history behind how... More

If you like touristy, this is your place. But it's overpriced and there wasn't much to see. The tour guides had little to no enthusiasm. If you're familiar enough with the history of Salem, this place adds little.

The witch trial play at the beginning was cute, a bit cheesy, but interesting and informative. The dungeon was very low tech and I think probably conveyed the conditions accurately, but was mostly a lead up to the gift shop where the kitsch kicked in.
