Its a nice cemetery but it would be better to look at in a tour because you get a lot more information rather than reading through everything trying to figure things out. more

cool place to visit and free. The old and broken tombstones are interesting. It was sad to see some of them with young children on them. more

The cemetery is small, but it's free. It's also conviently located. It is really creepy, and for historical appreciation, you shouldn't miss it. more

Don't miss this one. The Cemetery is the 2nd oldest in the U.S. The headstones were interesting and it was even better at night! Tip: look at the cemetery map 1st , then find the points of interest. more

I can't help but find it a bit morbid to be walking around a cemetery however with that said it was quite interesting. Reading the tombstones and seeing how young many of these people were when they passed its an insight into the past and a reality check to how lucky we are. more

Most headstones were difficult if not impossible to read. There was a cryptic diagram in the cemetary to show you where to find particular headstones such as the Mayflower passenger, etc. However, I did not find it very helpful. more

Make sure that you go and pay close attention to the tomb stones. There are many tombstones that are older than you can even think of. Reading them is touching also, such as reading that they died of consumption means they died of tuberculosis. Or the different symbols on the graves such as the cherubs versus the skull and crossbones.... more

Not simply historical, this cemetery boasts some really wonderful headstones. Worth making the trip during daylight so as to really appreciate the headstones (and it is technically closed after dusk). more
