Interesting old collection of horns and western memorabilia. Basic commercial establishment with overpriced bad beer.

We had lunch at the Buckhorn and were welcomed by Buffalo Bill in person. We had brisket sandwich and fries washed down with a good glass of brown ale. A good meal all round.
well we were looking forward to the Texas Ranger museum. At the entrance we learned that you can only see that in combination with that Buckhorn Saloon Museum. So 36 something bucks later (for 2 adults) we were shocked by all the stuffed animals in that Buckhorn Saloon Museum ... not what we expected and wanted to see ... quite...

Skip the food, it's average at best and way overpriced. In addition, it's another "open-air" facility and the birds will inundate you. Museum is interseting, especially the Texas Ranger exhibits...
A great story about the history of the Texas Rangers with exhibits and tales straight out of the pages of history books-a great collection of guns for the aficionados. Nice choice of micro-brewery beers and light lunch. I would go back again because I am sure I missed lots.
The place it self was interesting but the food wad beyond horrible !!!! My husband had the worst dry brisket sandwhich and I had a dry ceasar salad. Cashier was rude to top it off . We even had a a dining certificate because we brought two at restaurant.com we rather throw it away and waste our money than to...

I stumbled across the Buckhorn when I was out shopping around the Alamo. I walked through the front doors and was greeted immediately. I was a bit taken with the place. Its rustic south-west feel is a must see. The entire establishment is completely adorned with mounts and trophies of exotic game animals. Anything you can think of is there...
