Colorful market. Lots of cheap trinkets, but a few good shops and galleries. Touristy restaurants.

Everytime I visit the market in san Antonio, it is like a trip back to old Mexico. I enjoyed all the curios, food, and art from Mexico, as well as south Texas. Stop by and enjoy the rich culture of this place.

I rarely make a purchase at the mexican market, however, the atmosphere is what keeps bringing me back. We were there the final weekend of Fiesta! and the area was packed. Everyone was nice and in a festive frame of mind.

The music and food were great. Food was a little pricey, the place was so crowded, we could barely walk through the market.

We enjoyed our browsing through Market Square, but found that the prices were higher than elsewhere in the city. Go for lunch and to enjoy the scenery, but be wary of buying pottery, embroidered shirts, and hats. You'll find them all cheaper at River Center Mall and tourist shops.

Just fun to walk around and see all that San Antonio entrepreneurs have to offer. We bought all our souvenirs here, just fun things for the kids. There was one shop inside that sold great clothes, my daughter and I left there with less money, but happy.

Lots of shops, art galleries, good restaurants. Music and other happenings on weekend days. Big Mexican-style market of little shops with imported Mexican goods.

I am a local and stop by here occasionally when I am riding my bicycle around town. I like that is a big open outdoor area where you are allowed to have an open beer or margarita and they usually have some kind of live music. Kind of like the shopping areas of the border towns used to be before... More

What a wonderful spot to spend your money. So many handmade items - art, jewelry, clothing - all handcrafted, and not available everywhere. A great place to shop.

Lots to do. We went on a Sunday so I'm sure how busy it is during the week but we had a blast. Lots of shopping, lots of people watching and lots of entertainment.
