I totally agree with funfamilytravel's review. This is truly a gem hidden in downtown San Antonio. There is one small vendor that sells hot dogs and popcorn nearby and the bathrooms are open and convenient. Lots of fun for kids of all ages and best of all, it’s FREE! more
My husband and I walked here the day we walked King William Historic District. The gardens are nice and the tower gives you a great view of all of San Antonio. The giant wooden playscape in the middle of HemisFair Park was amazing! Our children (age 2 and 3,) just went crazy over it. We went early on a Saturday morning and had the whole park to ourselves! The playground at Hemisphere Park is a wooden fort. At one time, I am sure that it was really first rate. However, a number of the original features were in disrepair. Nevertheless, my children enjoyed it. more
