This museum has a large addition that was recently added onto the original house. We were shocked by the collection. Many Rodins, Picassos, Renoits,Gaugins, add in Monet, Hopper, Warhol, Calder and basically almost any other very famous artist you cana think of and you will find an origianl here on display. The architecture is also stunning and everything is well... more

What I thought would be the most lovely of the time spent in San Antonio turned out to be the most irritable. There is one security guard for each and every room in the museum! If they're not telling you all about the pieces you are looking at, they are staring at you from a corner nearby. I thought I... more

We went to this museum on Thursday which is free from 4 to 9pm. It is located in a decent neighborhood and has lots of lovely grounds. The art is great considering it is San Antonio. Plenty of famous name artists to keep you interested. My favorite was the Rodin statues. Enjoy this museum especially on free night. more

My last visit to McNay was in oct 2007.The museum is located in a beautiful mansion,which is a work of art on its own.Very polite an knowledgeable staff. During my visit,i saw works by Picasso,Monet,Marc Chagall,Frida Kahlo,Diego Rivera,and many other modern masters.I myself am an art collector,and this is my favorite museum!! more

I am basing this on my last visit in 2003 but what a nice surprise the McNay museum is in the neighborhood near the San Antonio Zoo. The McNay is free of charge with donations accepted. But the delight of all amidst the wonderful landscaped grounds, fountains, a fish pond, and of course the art, is the Spanish style home... more
