We rode our bikes to the mission so despite being hot and dirty we happened to get there in time for one of the best tours. The ranger led tour was 5 stars, He made everything very interesting! Many opportunities for learning history as well as fulfilling a spiritual void. All the old San Antonio Missions still hold weekly services. Building and garden architecture can be inspirational for designers.

Of all the Missions on the trail, this one is our favorite. The parks dept has done a good job in their maintenance of this Mission...the greenery of the large courtyard is impressive except for last year's drought (didn't help). Well worth the visit and the Park Rangers are very helpful in making your visit even more enjoyable.

A must see. The most impressive of all missions. Take some time away from the busy river walk and venture into this part of Texan history.

Don't know what I expected, but I went for an artisan's sale and found little of interest. Kind of boring and hot.

If you want to know what the Alamo was really similar to before it was blown up, you must see this. It is beautiful. Must see the Chapel inside. Would love to see it again one day.

Rented bikes in the city and rode along the riverwalk south to the first 2 missions. Easy ride and a great way to see the mssions!

The San Jose Mission was the first mission we went to. By watching the short video presentation, we learned very fast what missions were and when we went to others, that information really helped. It was a great addition to our vacation.
