Loved the Mexican-style plaza. Not enough benches for everyone! Great live music and food. On the southwest side of the plaza you'll find a very handy Five & Dime General Store.
Hotels and real estate are measured in time to the plaza. People watching is great. During the summer there is music at noon and early evening.

People congregate in the Plaza as it's a stepping stone to any number of sights in the city. Lots to see and do and eat. It's right in the center of town and easy to find. Lotsof interesting shops on the outskirts of the Plaza.
You have to spend a morning or a day at the plaza. Alot to see with the shops and people watching. Of course the highlight is the trading and talking with the native peoples.
Park square with rotunda. Lots of shops, vendors, eateries of all kinds. Best of all, if you want to relax, there are benches where you can sit, eat your ice cream and listen to the musicians who were everywhere playing. Something for everyone.
