I thought Canyon Road would have more up and coming, funky art. It was primarily fine art, and the galleries all close early. On a Friday we were told they would be open later, but even at 7-ish, they were closed because "next weekend is Memorial Day" and they felt they needed to rest up. It's still nice for a... More

This is located on busy Canyon Road, and isn't very spectacular. It's an old traditional house that has a very small gallery and a nice flower garden and porch. I guess the reason I enjoyed it was that I got to spend about 10 minutes talking to one of the artists who had her work displayed there. And, it's free!

My wife is an artist and Canyon Rd a must see. We were able to preview the galleries to focus on those we wanted. Really great to be able to easily stroll a few blocks with so many galleries.

We love the variety of art galleries in Santa Fe... and a walk out to the Canyon Road area is well worth it. Lots to see.

The walk up Canyon Road is a cultural experience you will not soon forget...the road is lined with sculpture, art and landscapes that take ones breath away. Each gallery, boutique and cafe offer something for everyone. The Teahouse at the far end of the road is a lovely place to enjoy a tea, coffee and a treat. El Farol will... More

I've never seen so many art galleries in one place, and so much art out on display is a feast for the eyes. Pop in to any of the galleries to get a glimpse of what is being produced. Here's my story: http://pettprojects.com/santafe.html

Very pretentious, over-priced, and over-rated. Employees are very friendly and helpful. For some reason, the galleries think they are the center of the known art scene.

I really enjoyed the walk up part of Canyon Road. I loved that so many galleries had their pieces outside and displayed so beautiful. Really like the metalwork wind catchers - would love to have one...or two...or three!

Take the time to spend a morning or afternoon exploring all Canyon Road has to offer. Such beautiful art and sculpture to admire. Get ready to walk a lot though. Parking is not the greatest unless you get there early in the day.

It's a nice walk up an old road w/ some interesting adobe homes that have been converted to art galleries. But mostly it's about expensive art, so if that's your thing, it's worthwhile
