This museum in Santa Fe is top notch. Included in the twenty dollar 4 day 4 museum unlimited admission ticket, this is the one of best of the four. And they let you take no-flash photography.

People in town told us this was the museum to visit, but we were disappointed. We've traveled a bit and seen wonderful folk art, but almost all of this museum is dedicated to dolls dressed up in various costumes. After a half an hour we were bored.
Nice little cafe in same complex as the Folk Art Museum. I'm a fan of albondigas soup. This one was very good, although they never put enough fresh mint in the meatballs to satisfy me, but I expect that. Although the exterior of this building is not very attractive, the displays of folk art representing cultures all over the world (though focusing mostly on Indian art) are fascinating, and fairly extensive. Other visitors here were as enthralled, as was I. To my surprise, non-flash photography is actually welcomed! A multi-art museum ticket can be purchased here.
This place was really one of the top things we did while in Santa Fe. Unfortunately we saved it for last and did not get to spend a lot of time there but if you have even only an hour, do it! I loved the little interesting scenes set up out of figurines. Not your usual stuffy museum. A great...

The Museum of International Folk Art has a vast collection of folk art in many media. There are numerous vignettes, encompassing a variety of styles within each theme. I could spend many hours there, especially good for rainy days. A Don't Miss in Santa Fe.

Very impressive display of folk art really helps to understand this different side of the art world. Other interesting artwork on display as well. Another plus is that it is not overwhelmingly huge or intimidating; one not need to spend an entire day here. Definitely worth the visit.
This museum is located on Museum Hill a campus of three museums, on the outskirts of Santa Fe. Parking is not a problem. The museum campus itself is incredibly lovely. The Museum of Folk Art is amazing. There was one whole room devoted to folk art of the Andes. Another exhibit consists of "toys," from all countries. Intricate carvings, miniatures,...
