This was so much fun. If you ride in winter sometimes you get bumped up to silver class (like first class) if the train is not sold out. I still prefer the regular seats. Took the train out to the middle of nowhere during a snowstorm/ sunstorm. Ticket prices were a little hight .. but I felt that it was worth the money. The 12 year old who was with us really enjoyed the trip. The train had beer and small snacks for purchase ... so I was happy.

The trip was very informative, comfortable and gave you access to items outside of the Santa Fe city limits. They service was wonderful once on board the train, the bar was well stocked, and the scenery was breathtaking.

The train is authentic, old, and rickety. The trip is a few hours coming and going to Lamy, NM where they have some food for purchase.
