Was surprised to find that the Georgia O' Keefe museum does not have a very good collection of Georgia O'keefe paintings. We went as soon as they opened for the day and did not have to fight for viewing time. Although you can't get nose to canvas with the work, you can get as close as you need to and really view the details. If you are a fan or maybe especially if you aren't, it is well worth the visit... more

The museum was fine. We enjoyed the seeing the small collection and learning about her philosophy and life in the films. We had wanted to do a tour of her house and studio but it was booked through the week after. We took the drive to Abiqui and enjoyed the scenery that inspired her. We thought it was worthwhile. more

Other reviewers are correct - this is a small musuem. We went on Free Friday night so weren't disappointed in feeling that we did not get our money's worth. The museum was closed for hanging, and when this happens an alternate tour to another museum featuring Georgia's personal effects is provided. We saw her paintbox, sketches, brushes, bone and rock collections, walking shoes, and much more. It was breathtaking. As good as seeing her paintings. more
