The Springfield museums are a mix of buildings. We think the Science is even better than the ecotarium in Worcester, the Springfield museum has the Indian motorcycle exhibit and the art museum has lots of hands on for the kids. Don't miss the Dr. Suess national sculpture garden right in the quad. Often passes from local libraries are available. Really...

We spent more than 2 hours here including a special kids activity and frog exhibit. Gotta love those gorgeous poison dart frogs.
I love this museum as it has so much to offer on many levels, from the science museum, to Seuss, to fantastic art shows, but they REALLY need to upgrade their planetarium. We had a great time. It's a pretty big .. plan to take your time to see everything. Of course my kids loved the Grossology exhibit. Later check out the Dr. Seuss Garden.
This was our second time going during the celebration of Dr.Suess' birthday. It's a small museum but they have a variety of activities. I feel like the try to fit too many people in a cramped space, like the room where they had the children coloring their hats.
The museum is small and there are no live animals except the fish on the bottom floor. There was a great Frog exhibit when we were there. There is no food at this or any other of the Springfield museums. We were able to park close. there was some hands on stuff but it was folder children. There are other...
