This university has provided our daughter a wonderful education at a minimal cost compared to California. Just 8 hours away, students are able to board and feel apart of University Life in a small town setting. Califonia residents.... this is a deal in tuition second to Alaska, where it is $2000/ year!
We didn't realize it was their Spring Break when we went so a little disappointing to not see "the real deal". I would check that when you make Tour appointment (we went to 2 other colleges and they weren't on Spring Break, so were a little surprised coming to NAU, my bad). Great library with lots of pcs. Starbucks lots of dining options some not so good. Nice pool. Small classes. Great campus to sit and relax.

Now that I am almost a senior I reflect back and see that this town really is not that bad. At first I thought to my self I do not like it here but as the years went on I got use to it. Yes, it has it down falls but the students and staff are friendly!
Did a self tour on our own - went because it w as ac ros from the mansion we visited.
NAU was a gorgeous school. They faculty were all very kind and knowledgeable. Downside= a lot of construction going on at the time.
