We liked the ride onboard the Aquidneck Sailboat, we sure want to go back. What we like the best was the fresh air on our faces and the breathtaking view. Our children had the opportunity to hold the helm and drive the Sailboat.

Had the In-laws in from the Mid-West and wanted them to experience Newport's famed sailing!. Schooner Aquidneck and her crew did not disappoint!! Nice breeze, ( SW I think..) and an awesome Captain (Isaac, if I remember) and crew. They did have other boats, but we missed their season. Really enjoyed the Schooner Aquidneck though. Highly recommend to anyone visiting... More

Wonderful sunset cruise on the schooner - there were only 8 people on board (near end of season on a sunny, late october day - the maximum could be 46 people!) - we had a good real sailing experience (good wind for sailing) and a nice crew also telling stuff about the sights

I was torn between this schooner and a couple of other options in Newport and we decided on Aquidneck on the spur of the moment. Not sure if it was the best decision, but it was okay. We booked a sunset sail, for which we had nice, if fairly brisk weather. Several of the other passengers were decidedly underdressed for... More

Very beautiful view, went on the sunset sail, offered champagne throughout the trip! It was so relaxing, learned a lot about the sights, a great thing to do while visiting to learn about Newport. Staff was funny and kept the boat laughing, highly recommend this boat!

We considered several choices and choose this boat based on the boat and the advertised itinerary of the sail. The crew was pleasant but not overly informative. They mentioned sights along the way that people asked about. The info was quick and off the cuff rather than a tour. When a woman asked about the boat, the crew member turned... More

Having experienced a very nice sail on the Adirondack II where fog rolled in (no fault of the crew), we decided to try again on another day of our stay in Newport. This time we boarded the Aquidneck. The crew was pleasant enough and the views of the bay are spectacular when the skies are clear on any of the... More

If you want to sail, MAKE SURE TO ASK IF THE CONDITIONS ARE OPTIMAL FOR SAILING. IF NOT, GET ON ANOTHER CHARTER because you will be doing the same - MOTORING!!! WE NEVER SAILED. When we purchased the tickets they did not warn us that we may not be sailing. When I complained afterwards, they would not compensate us in... More
