The trolley is only $2 per person. It is a fun way to get around. However when it is crowded it is very difficult to get out as it only has a narrow space in the middle to manouvre. I felt the public bus is $2.50 and more seats is sometimes a better option.

If you do the trolley on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday make sure to do the walking guided city tour, on the red line, which is complimentary with any valid Waikiki Trolley ticket. We did the 11:30 tour on 5/21 and it was the best part of our Trolley experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very understandable. The tour was... More

Amazing to get to and from. Fast and runs constantly around the town and to the main shopping centre which is a far walk. They are also cheap so you can not complain. Although if its late on a colder night you do get extremely cold

We booked tickets for this HOHO Trolley via Internet weeks before our cruse ship arrived in Honolulu. Waikiki Trolley also sold tickets through the cruise ship's excursion department. When hundreds of people holding tickets disembarked at the same time, one would think the trolley company would have extra vehicles available. They did not. We waited 20 minutes and there was... We loved our christmas lights tour and then used the trolley to get to the Ala Moana Centre a few times. So easy! Be prepared to queue during busy holidays times though!

in an effort to save money and keep our 4 teenagers occupied, we bought 7 day trolley passes for the family. While the maps look great, the schedule and routing is a nightmare! We waited and waited for a trolley to come (although there are many, many "private" trolleys for Japanese tour companies, and when they arrived they were often... More

It is a cheap way to travel around Waikiki and it's cheap too. The pink line will take you all the way to Ala Moana Mall. The trolley stops are usually close to hotels (Hilton Village, Outrigger, Sheraton etc).

Save money and time! Hop on a trolly, your kids and wallet will thank you. A shout-out to Blain, our trolly driver, you rock! Most trolly drivers are friendly and informative. $2 each way!
