My husband and I went for our 5th Anniversary and enjoyed it from start to finish. Beautiful setting, friendly performers who took the time to educate us on Hawaiian history and culture, and excellent food made this a very special evening for us...The view of Diamond Head was also a plus.

This is another instance where half stars would be helpful. Overall the Aha 'Aina is a 3 1/2, I went with 4 because it is better than average, but not quite "very good" all things considered. That isn't a knock on the quality of the show or the food, both were pretty good, probably worthy of 4 stars for the... More

I normally hate luau's - I find them to be incredibly tacky. I would rate it as a 3 1/2 stars. I think it's better than average but not exactly "Very good". This one was of a higher caliber luau. The food included filet & a sweet lobster - perfectly cooked [it wasn't chewy/rubbery at all, which drives me nuts].... More

We decided we couldn't afford the Royal Hawaiian as a place to stay and instead signed up for the Monday night "luau," thinking it would be spectacular. We were moved inside (without prior notification) because of a rain prediction that didn't happen. We had to ask for the doors to the room to be open because it was so stuffy,... More

I wanted to attend a luau while my husband and I were in Hawaii. I did some research and this event at The Royal Hawaiian was highly rated so we booked tickets. For $150 per person I expected more. The food was OK. It was very much like what you get at a wedding. Sort of overcooked and room temp.... More

I was very disappointed with this show. We were looking to go to an authentic Hawaiian Luau. This was far from that. It did not have the traditional roast pig etc. However, I must admit the food was very good. The dinner was very rushed, dishes brought in and swept away as soon as you finished, immediately replaced by the... More

When looking for a Luau to attend and reading some of the terrible reviews on Trip Advisor we settled on this one. The night we went it was raining so the Luau was held inside. The room was decorated well and the service was extremely good for the large number of tables and people. The food was exceptional and I... More

We had been to the Luau at the Royal many times before, but this event was fantastic. They no longer refer to this as a luau, but an Ahaina. The buffet with the kalua pork and macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi is gone. You now have an elegant sit down dinner prepared under the supervision of a real chef with... More

That is the first thing that popped into my mind after we received ONE appetizer of the FIVE- and we were being brought our Salads- DINE AN DASH… wait don’t Dine- just DASH altogether. Don’t bother wasting your time or your money. This luau was one of the most expensive one's on the island. We were a group of 3-... More

I loved this luau. The food was awesome and cooked by a real chef, open bar so you can have as many Mai Tais as you can handle, intimate setting and well worth the money. The show is amazing and the firedancer AWESOME!!!! Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend it. If you are staying in Waikiki it's... More
