Bring a fat wallet it is very expensive for everything. Thank goodness for Asianpeasuretravel.com for getting us great prices on our Airfare, hotel, and tour guides. They took us to places that most tourist don't know about. Go to Thailand or Philippines for vacation and save your money. Honolu is for the Japanese tourist because it is cheaper for then.

For a free museum, this one is great. Pieces from many Hawaiian residents. Lunch at the downstairs restaurant was fresh and great tasting--don't miss it. Iolani Palace was well worth the time. Get there by $2.50 bus from Waikiki.

I love walking around and looking at the buildings then going to Chinatown to shop and eat.

From its brand name shops to its busy nightlife it was somewhere u could just go and strole around be entertained.

The downtown area has an abundance of designer shops we all know here on the mainland. There are tiki torches lit along the street and there are street performers to entertain you as you walk along. This island in general is very clean and well maintained. Honolulu is no exception.

I like the two main streets and that you can't get lost because you just go in a circle. The public bus system is so easy to use.

We did a walking tour of downtown Honolulu and were surprised at how big it was. With Hawaii, you think its all tourism, but seeing downtown, you remember that it is the financial capital of the Pacific too. The downtown was very clean and walkable. As with most downtowns, parking is tight. Look for the deals with the parking garages.
