If you get on to the back country trails is worth the walk but the board walk access is a little dry.
Always a good stopping point to see this areas Geysers and pools.
I can only recommend this stop on your way through the Yellowstone. This place is very special - the geysers are so close to the Yellowstone lake...you should see it.
Another Must See. Each place engraves itself in your soul.......My heart and soul are in Yellowstone....
There are many better geyser basins in the park!!! It is just okay.
I love to get into the Yellowstone mood by stopping at West Thumb on my way from Jackson. There are beautiful pools right on the edge of Yellowstone Lake--a very unusual setting.
I think this was the best walking view of geysers in Yellowstone because it was multi-level. Walking in we were up on top and then the boardwalks took us down toward the lake that is right next to this geyser basin. So we could see everything very well. The geysers here have many pretty colors and you can get some great photos, especially of the larger ones. (turquoise against the clouds...nice !) In the winter, the steam and snow can look like a fairyland.
