This is only a small centre which doesn't take long to go round but it is really interesting if you visit at feeding time. We really enjoyed our visit here. We went in the morning and were able to sign up our kids for their kids club. We came back that evening and our kids had a class about grizzly bears and got to go into the bear enclosure and place food for the bears before they let the bears out for the evening.... More

The wolves sleep all day and they only let out one or two bears at a time but at least they are close up. The exhibits were okay but not great and the ranger presentation was terrible. When we paid we wondered why it was so cheap. WE found out very little to acctually do.

There is a reason why people put a small zoo just outside the national park - it is for the disappointed kids and kids-in-heart, who did not manage to see any bear in the park! Yes, you can see grizzly bears and wolfs here, in close distance. (My kids did just that!)

The GWDC is the BEST deal anywhere! The admission fees are more than reasonable, and the staff is knowledgeable and ready to share with any and all visitors.
