If you like beer and are in the area, be sure to stop by Wanaka Beerworks (out by the airport) for their 2pm tour & tasting. For $10, you get a short tour (it's a tiny facility) and then (best part) get to try 3 good-sized tastes of your choice of their beers. They make three "standard" beers year-round and...

We really enjoyed our trip to Wanaka Beerworks. The tour was great for such a small brewery. Susan explain their process and showed us around the facility, while her husband (the brewer) was busy working. The $10 tour & tasting lets you try any 3 of their beers along with a cheese plate from the nearby Gibbston Valley Cheese Company....

THE $10 taster is the way to go 9 beers to choose from.. the best thing is to try the taster and get a group of people to share it around... my preference is the brewski

Great tasting beer, owners are friendly and helpful. Recommend a tasting and a guided tour. You will definitly leave this place with a six pack under your arm
