We found that the people in Wanaka were very friendly. The town itself is small but is growing. Wanaka has all the facilities that you would require for an enjoyable holiday.

It was so picturesque , with the snowy mountains in the background, and the autumn colours, perfect weather completed the picture.

its a really nice place , mountains all round , we where there just before the snow season so it was quiet and cold but still lovely

A lovely small little town with a lot of visitors and good restaurants just facing the lake..... loved the atmosphere there and a great place to send a couple of days .

the scenery was breathtaking. loved the full moon that night. we wished we could be staying there.

Used this as a stop off between QT and Frans Josef - wish we could have spent longer here. Seemed much quieter and more class feel about it than QT. V beautiful.

This is such a picturesque place and well worth a stop. Take-away coffee by the lake whilst kids playing on the playground, priceless :-)

This town has a great feel about it. Not as large as Queenstown and definitely not as busy. Great for couples that like the quite life with fantastic views of lake and mountains. Pleanty to do for all ages. Winter is the busy time for for Wanaka.
