A nice place to visit, Located in the Shivalik Range of the great Himalayas on the banks of river Ganga. Nearby places to visit Mansa Devi temple, Rajaji National Park, Shanti Niketan etc. Easy to reach by the means of taxi easily available everywhere. Must to try is Roapway ride on both the temples i.e. Chandi Devi & Mansa Devi.

Taking the cable car ride up the hill to offer our prayer was so awesome, never expected to have done something like that during my stay in India. Loved the view from the temple. Felt mothers presence there, accepting our humble offerings.

The trolley for Chandi Devi is almost double to that of Mansa Devi. Beware of lot of monkeys here... Or should I say, enjoy the company of monkeys... Nice experience overall... Take package ticket for both Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi

Though Chandi Devi temple is little out of the city but Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples are must if you are visiting Haridwar. You require at least half a day to complete your visit to both the temples.

From Mansa Devi temple, a van takes you to Chandi Devi temple. After a wait that involved standing in a place that had lots of monkeys, the van finally arrived and the travel to Chandi Devi hill situated on the other side of the river took less than half an hour, made to appear even shorter with the panoramic views...
