We approached this visit with a degree of trepidation with stereotypes of private zoos, unhappy and badly housed animals and rip offs in mind. We could not have been more wrong! This is a highly professional operation that does not merely inform and entertain but plays a significant role in the protection of threatened species. In the past it used... More

Mogo Zoo.. What a lifetime experience. It was my dream to feed and pat a tiger and I did both. Wow it was just fantastic. I just want to go back there time and time again. Best zoo I have ever been to. The Meerkat experience was just great. The keeper puts live worms on your head and the meerkats... More

Full of endangered animals, and privately owned, Mogo Zoo is an absolute must do. I highly recommend the animal encounters. They are worth every cent. We fed the Servals and the Tiger and I will never forget that experience. The keepers have plenty of time for you and are very informative. At no time did we feel hurried and we... More

A great place to get up close and personal with the animals unlike other zoos where they're often hard to spot. Not too big to navigate and very informative keeper talks which were not too long so the kids didn't lose interest. Thoroughly enjoyed it, probably the best zoo experience I've had.

Mogo zoo is certainly not comparable in size to the likes of Taronga or Western Plains zoos but personally I preferred it. Its layout means the animals are much closer and easier to find in their enclosures and the whole place is easy to navigate and be gotten around as quickly or slowly as you like.

Great zoo, small enough to easily walk around with the children and see a variety of animals over the day. Well timed and scheduled keeper talks across the day gave you a great sense of the breeding programs and the reasons for the endangered species listing on all the animals at the zoo. My children were able to attend to... More

We did not know the zoo was there and when we were taking our two grandchildren to the coast for the holidays a friend mentioned it. We went thinkig a quick stroll around would suffice but were amazed just how fabulous it is. Three hours later we left. The variety of animals, their housing and facilities are commendable. Hand feeding... More

This is a pretty impressive zoo these days.. as a long time visitor to the area I can remember when it was a bit shabby around the edges and a place you'd only go to to keep the toddlers happy for 30 mins. Last visit we saw a pride of lions, with the male being fed milk against the fence... More
