Extensive grounds - fabulous for a relaxing, breathtaking stroll, even in the rain! Museum was interesting - most things only labeled in Italian though... Maybe if you purchased a brochure it would give more info. Worth the price of admission for flora and view alone.

The gardens were a delight - pity that we were a week or two to see the wonderful display of Azaleas etc. But well worth a visit.

Attended a wedding here and was knocked out by the setting and the villa. Later visited the gardens which were out of this world.

What a fantastic location - oh to have lived here! We took the boat from Bellagio over to Villa Carlotta (Tremezzo). Stunning gardens and views. The gardens are very steep in places though and my elderly mother found the going quite tough at times but there were benches to rest on and a lift to take you to other levels... More

Beautifully located 17th century villa with breathtaking views of Lake Como and the Dolomite Mountains. The Villa had wonderful paintings, statues and works of art all beautifully displayed. The gardens were sensational with rhododendrons and azaleas in profusion together with specimen trees and water features.

When we first went to Lago di Como, the only thing that people could suggest us to visit was the villa Carlotta... and they never even heard of villa Balbianello... Parrots ! The setting is of course amazing ; but we thought that the architecture was uninterresting and the gardens without much fantasy. If you look hard you will see... More
