Well worth a visit - especially if you are staying in Pontadera: this is a lovely little museum with lots of scooters and other stuff produced by the vespa factories. Its free and worth a 45 minute visit. Only a few minutes walk from the station. I had forgotten how stylish the Vespa scooters were in the 60s and 70s,... More

It was free to enter and contained a lot of history through a large number of exhibits. The exhibits were not behind closed off areas which was a nice change. Naturally the bulk of the displays were scooters and motorbikes but the were also exhibits about other items built through the companys history ie trains and planes. If going there... More

The Museo Piaggio is an amazing opportunity to see examples of the Piaggio Company and their iconic Vespa motorscooter over the Vespa's 60 plus years of history. It's a well appointed and laid out museum. Be sure to stop in the Gift Shop!

Great collection of Vespa bikes and many other related objects. A tribute to Piaggio's creativity and entrepreneurship and also to modern Italia history.

Not sure if it is worth the trip if you are in, say, Florence. But you happem to be in the area, do drop by. It is free after all. The bookshop seems to have lots of cool stuff, but we couldnt find anyone who would open it for us.
