We visited Matlock Bath for the day and as this seemed to be the main attraction we thought we would visit. We did a tour of one of the caves and had a bite to eat in the cafe. It wasn't a bad day out just a little expensive for what you actually did once you had paid. Nice views... More

We haven't visited the attraction for several years and were delighted with the experience. We had two small children who thought that the cable car ride was amazing (to be honest, the views are amazing.) When we got to the attraction we went down the cave (the guide was clear and engaging but could have developed and informed more.) The... More

It was amazing the view from the cable car and when it stops you can see right down the gorge and when you get to the top it is really interesting and the views are spectacular.

Excellent value for money. If you have kids you could spend the day there, otherwise it will happily while away 3-4 hours.

energetic walk up to the Heights. Enjoyed trip up Prospect Tower - great views all round. Excellent cafe - sat on terrace with lovely coffee looking over the valley. Return walk through woods very enjoyable as well

An enthralling trip by cable car (the only one in England) with an interesting and informative history of the region on top. We didn't go into the cavern, but the video made this year was probably almost as good. At £9 for seniors, it was good value; the normal prices are possibly a bit steep. More aimed at children with... More

We went as a couple for our first short break in 2009 and stayed at The Hayloft, Matlock with Cherry, this was lovely, a gorgous cobbly place, we took flowers which went beautifully in the cute little window place, and looking out of the window to the mass of hilly fields was amazing. We went to the Heights of Abraham... More

This is a great opportunity to see stunning landscape , particularly for anyone with mobility limitations who might not manage a walk to to top of High Tor nearby , who stlll wants to lookout . We took our dog - which was interesting ! The staff were very helpful and friendly , but I did think the price was... More

Took a friend a couple of years ago, sights are amazing and the cable cars gave a great view. My only negative is that cafe prices are too high.

Even if it's called "Heights..." this adventure starts in the valley, at the bottom station of cable car. Then you're being lifted to the top of the hill, and all the fun starts. You can choose between two playgrounds, two caverns (we visited only one of them, and the route needs some improvements), few restaurants, shops and lots of other... More
