I have just returned from spending Halloween at Wookey Hole Caves and we didn't find it as bad as some of the reveiws. The caves are beautiful, they are a little cold and slippery but nothing that my 3 year old couldn't handle, we travelled in a party of 7, four adults and 3 children between the ages of 3... more

Took my partner here to show her the caves as i remeber them being pretty good from around 20 years ago when i was a kid. The caves themselves are still really beautiful and the illuminations that have been put in really enhance the place. The lights they use for the tour are at times a little tacky but still... more

Having never been down a cave before, and living in Newcastle/Tyne, Wookey and Chedder along with Longleat Safari were our 4 day destination, with day entry into Center Parcs. I went with a open mind. I do not understand why reviewers moan about the price, it is clearly stated on their www. If you dont want to pay it, or... more

45 pounds for a family ticket for 2 adults and two children looking at the brochure it looked good with loads of things to do. we queued up for the caves and were in within 10 minutes, considering this is peak season that was not bad. the caves were good but were ushered thou in 20 minutes. then what a... more

I think that some of the reviews are a bit pessimistic. Yes, it is rather pricey to get in, but you can get 15% discount by booking on their website and you can also avoid the ticket office queue by collecting your advance tickets from the adjacent ice cream parlour. The actual caves are very impressive; over 1M years old,... more

Every other place we have visited during our break allowed my wife who is registered disabled concessionary entry (Longleat & Cheddar Gorge). I should explain that she has had 2 operations on her spine as a sufferer of Degenerative Disc Disease, a fusion and nylon cages where her discs used to be. This causes much pain when walking. When asking... more

Long queues both to get in to the "attraction" and then to get into the cave. We queued for 2 hours in total. The caves themselves are OK but no better than Cheddar Gorge round the corner which is infinitely better. The rest of the place is low grade tacky so called attractions. Plastic dinosaurs, a couple of fairy models... more

To start with it's very expensive to get in - £15 per adult and £10 for any child over the age of 3!!! The caves themselves were fine, interesting enough to see although the tour which you have to go on to see them made it significantly less interesting! But it was certainly not worth the admission ticket...and Wookey Hole... more

The caves themselves are very interesting and well worth a visit. (Having said that I haven't been in many caves) However, it's a little expensive, £15 for adults, £10 for kids. There are a few other things to do after you come out of the caves - you come out into a display of concrete dinosaurs and king kong... And... more

Our party of 4 boys (2 to 13 yrs) + two adults thoroughly enjoyed this place. When the sun shone, the gardens were magical especially for any dino fans. It was clean and tidy - my boys played all day & slept all the way home more
