Ok..well..there is Santorini which is breathtaking, but filled with tourists, just like us. Paros is a laidback island with beautiful streets, lots of greenery and friendly people. We ended up having conversations with many of the vendors there. There are high chances of having many beaches to your own in the mornings. Perfect place to relax and lose yourself in... More

I really can't think of any dislikes - other than every holiday comes to an end too quickly - The town is a mixture of old and new i.e the old town is an adventure in itself wandering the tiny intermingled streets with the selection of local shops, bars and restaurants, and on the main Paralia, you are spoilt for... Parikia was one of our favorite stops while on an 18 day "no reservations" island hopping adventure in the Cyclades . We felt the friendly hospitality the minute we exited the ferry. Many locals there to offer accomodations. It was their Easter week and all were celebrating. An invite to a nieghborhood lamb and goat grill was so awesome. Live... More

3 days in this town, 2 of which were spent indoors due to the terrible weather. The wind was so strong you could hardly walk in it. The seas were huge and splashing all over the road. The beach is full of rubbish. Most of the shops were closed. On our only day out in the fresh air, we hired... More

A beautiful place where everything is white and blue, with narrow streets, small caffes. In Parikia there is the main port of the island and it is a little crowded around that area. It is a small place that has everything : during day you can go to the lovely beaches or go shopping on the small shops on the... More

The town has a huge promenade that looks onto the sunset. There are beaches, windmills and cafes, restaurants, bars, and pretty much everything you would expect from a greek island. Its the main port of the island, but theres only heavy traffic when theres a boat in the harbor (which isn't often during the day) Its the best place on... More

I loved so much this town that I bought a flat in Paros Island. Every night I take my car and I leave Molos (where I have my house) in order to get my favourites restaurants in Parikia. There are nice streets with its white roads, the small shops and the octopus over the balcony. Every tourist should know Parikia,... More

reasons to walk around Parikia are many.. shopping, eat at very nice restaurants with good price and traditional Greek tastes, take photos in the magical roads with the ancient architecture of Paros.

Lose yourself in the maze of streets and watch as they come alive at night time with all sorts of shops and restaurants.

First of all, grab youself a seat on any restaurant or caffe along the waterfront and let yourself be swept away to the milky way along with the sunset. The town's old quarters are a must to stroll through and experience but the newly put together beachfront buildings consisting of tastlelessly decorated shops and restaurants, bars and caffees,do disshonor this island's image...
