My wife and I did this hike in March and it was one our highlights of our trip. It has beautiful tropical scenery throughout. It is not a long hike. If you take your time it is probably a 2 hour round trip. You start going uphill and soon you get to the suspended bridges and the lookouts. Many views... More

A hot and sweaty - but relatively "easy" hike along a well marked trail with bridges and stairs. But it's a rainforest so watch your step as it can sometimes be slippery... AND it's not at all a touristy, fake looking, manicured area - this is legit rain forest. There are some pools and waterfalls you can swim in and... More

This was by far our favorite half day of our week long trip in Costa Rica. We were lucky enough to be the only people in the park on a May day, but in spite of the rainy season, we saw Toucan's, poision dart frogs, Jesus Christ lizards, and flora you would not believe. The suspension bridges were a blast... More

Snce we had 2 young kids(4 and 7) we were not sure about this. We took the guide (I would highly recommend it). The walk with the guide was fun through the primary and secondary forests. Best part was the hanging bridges (like in Indiana Jones movie) where it swings a bit and only 3-4 people can be on the... More

Our tour guide was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly. It was an educational and fun walk in the forest, including some suspended bridges over the canopy.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! We had a great day hiking through the reserve, walking over wobbly suspension bridges and swimming in waterfall pools. One of the highlights of our trip!

We visited Rainmaker with another couple, in early February 2012. For $20, we were given a walking stick, lunch (after our return) and a great hike through the rain forest, across many beautiful hanging bridges, and a jump and swim in a beautiful waterfall! We all loved Rainmaker and its sounds of crickets, cicadas, babbling brook and rushing waterfalls. We... More

This was the highlight of our trip. We hiked with our two kids (4 and 10) and it was amazing. Lots of suspension bridges, beautiful foilage, freshwater swimming holes and a great $5 lunch at the end.
