All that you've heard is true. An untouched, unspoiled beautiful lake. Not much to see in the town, maybe half a dozen shops, but Lake Tekapo is a must-visit for any South Island holiday. And the drive there is also a treat. more

We heard so much about this lake before we arrived. What people forget to tell you is that if the weather is over cast is isnt its magnificent blue. You can see the potential though! It is a beautiful place but make sure you prepared for a let down if the weather if awful- still worth a visit either way! more
