The first 30 minutes it was quite crowded and it felt a bit small with a big stroller and not that much animals to see while following the official route. But after a short break, in one of the many playgrounds, that feeling disappeared. We saw a lot more animals. It was still limited but the 'cages' were very big so there are lots of places for the animals to hide, we didn't mind that. We enjoyed the views, nature, and the playgrounds. Also the food and the drinks were nice and somewhat different compared to other zoos.
We don't look at prices so I can't say something about that.
Overall we had a perfect, and full, day in the, not that big, zoo. We had the feeling they care a lot about the animals and less about showing them was something we appreciate. Certainly we will come back after they finish rebuilding a part of the rainforest.

Very interesting Zoo. Lots of animals. Very good curated. The paths were clearly marked, so you would not miss to see all the animals areas. The restaurant had plenty of food for a quick launch.

We absolutely love the Gaia zoo. We have a year membership and we enjoy it all year round. The animals have plenty of space, plenty of shade in the summer, rest and picknick areas, lovely well kept play grounds.

The zoo was open with Corona, but you needed to reserve in advance. 2 encloseres were closed, but everything else you could visit. It was very warm when we came, but there were enough places with shades. The animal encloseres were big and they had a lot of hiding spots for their privacy.

Easy to get there by public transport, good organised as far as walking direction and enough space between people in this corona period. Clean, with a variety of wild animals to look at in their natural surroundings. There were some moments when it got busier but it's up to us to keep the 1,5m. distance...

Probably the most beautiful zoo to walk through in the Netherlands. Lots of greenery and no cages, only natural exhibits. Not the biggest zoo, we were there for 3.5 hours. There are lots of play areas for the kids, including an indoor dinosaur themed play ground.

Well laid out and thought out and organized Zoo in Holland, close to the German Border and Aachen. Not many cages, large, free enclosures, where animals can be seen in as close to their natural environment as is possible. We visited recently in winter again, so many animals were active as opposed to our first visit in the summer, when it was hot and many were hiding and sleeping. Nice adventure path for the children to explore through a wood on a wood and rope path. Lovely pet / farm animal area. Good places to eat, a new restaurant looking stylish, also the " older " eating place has now a bigger outdoor eating area, which is covered and sheltered with heaters to warm you up again after the walk around.
The different habitats are great for children to learn what lives and grows there. The walks beautifully laid out and planted, having many interesting water features and little rivers and waterfalls. It is a place that you can visit over and over and discover new things all the time. Highly recommended. Also lots of space to park easily.

GaiaZOO has a very nice atmosphere about it, thanks to some very careful landscaping with much attention to detail. While not being excessively large in surface, it offers a surprising variety and presents the animals in enclosures that seem to match their natural habitats reasonably well. We went to see the lion cubs and arriving early, were surprised to find all five lions curled up next to a window where you could watch them literally at arm’s length.
Another enclosure I can thoroughly recommend is the one for the Gorillas. In other zoos they often look unhappy, it’s somehow much different here. There are benches opposite the hilly island built for them so you can sit down and observe them at your leisure, which seems to soothe both the animals and the visitors.
The restaurant areas are very nice too, and for families with children there are playgrounds and a pretty “kinderboerderij” with farm animals the kids can touch if they dare. Access to the zoo is by convenient dual carriageway passing right by the large parking area. It is all not exactly cheap, but not only do you get your money’s worth, there are keenly priced yearly tickets that you will certainly make good use of if you live within a moderate distance.

Nice zoo, with al lot of special animals.
Last time we went here was more then 10 years ago.
The zoo was changed over the years, modernized. And the parking place was also much better then 10 years ago.
Animals were relocated over the zoo since the last time we went here, and most of them have a nice place to stay,
