Casela is a bird park which about two years ago added big-cat interactions to their offering. This make it a unique opportunity to really interact with the animals and was the highlight of our trip (well, other than our wedding day of course!). We pre-booked the 'Walk with lions' and 'Cheetah encounter' prior to our Mauritian Adventure and took a hire car to Casela. The early lion walk was great as it was a small group and probably cooler than later in the day. The lions were amazing, but my favourite was the cheetah encounter where we were allowed to sit and stroke... more

This was one of our highlights in Mauritius. We went on the safari and went into an enclosure with the lions. Wished we had more time there. Had a great time this isn't just a bird park there are zebras, deer's, tigers its great value for money. more

Located in the West of the island near Flic en Flac is a 14 hectare park with some over 1500 birds most of them in cages.
