Many temples there. You will love there if you like budda. Too much visitors. So crowded inside the temples.

To get here can be tricky. Go to the Ningbo Port Passenger Transport Center in Wai Lo Tan. Take their bus to Daxian Ferry. Take that boat to the island. The cost for the bus and the boat is 83 RMB round trip. When you get off the boat in Putuoshan you must buy a ticket because it is a...

Well worth the time but you need a full day. It is very expensive and you virtually have to pay 2-3 times within each temple. After travelling to Thailand where temples are ussually free this was disappointing. The fervour of the devotees was impressive in materialistic China. Food is expensive but one of the temples has a good vegitarian lunch...

I would recommend to visit Putuo Island if you are travelling around Zhou Shan City. Apprantly it is one of the top four religious places for Buddhists in China. The entry ticket is expensive though, it would worth spending if you stay in the island for at least three days. There a lot things to do around this culture-rich place...
