I bought my tickets in the US. This may be the reason I overpaid. I did my research and found the best online deal. I'm not big on snorkeling, but I wanted to try something new. The food was ok, but there were way too many gnats and people preparing food with their bare hands... I paid more than disney... More

I've been snorkelling all around this planet, most of the usual destinations promise lots and deliver far less than you expect, no doubt due to damage by inexperienced snorkelers. Xel ha however delivers every expectation. It is also undamaged. For first timers it provides a wonderful treat, shoals of large fish are no more than metres off the shore, for those... More

Xel-ha was my favorite activity on our Cancun trip. We went there with a 13 and 15 year old plus grandma and grandpa. The $80 was worth it for this all inclusive eco-park. The scenery and setting are beautiful from the lagoon to the cenotes to the river. This was a blend of a water park (like in the USA)... More

No matter if you are a family, or adults w/o kids - it's great fun. You can float down in the water, eat/drink what and when you want, or ride the zip line, jump off the cliff, feed the tropical fish - it sort've covers everyone's idea of a perfect day.

Me and my partner went mid may and really enjoyed this day out. stayed in cancun so was a good 2 hour ride but really enjoyed it. Lots to do to keep you busy all day. The snorkling was great. Lots of fish especially at the flagged points. Was a great range of different fish too. We also done the... More

xel ha is what you make of it. Snorkeling all day, lazy-manning... the water is clear with a rich array of aquatic life. Of course there are $$$ for extra attractions but I managed to have alot of fun all day without them. Try to start from the mangrove area and tube/snorkel your way down. Cliff jumping was fun, there... More

We were in Cancun for 10 days and our fav excursion was Xel-ha. We stayed at Moon Palace and this costed us $280 for 2 people. BEst snorkeling! This is an inlet off the ocean with tons of tropical fish. It took over an hour to get from the start back to main area. You could have easily spent 4... More

Borrow the money or steal from your grandparents (ok, not really, but get the idea), we loved it here specifically for the dolphin swim. We booked the Primax programme so not cheap but spent almost an hour in the water with "our" dolphin. Lots of petting, tricks and a foot push. Absolutely fantastic. The lazy river was as it says... Probably my favourite theme park. xel ha proposes activities like nowhere else. it is a water park but unique of its kind since you will only fond natural pools, lagoon, underground river and thousands of fish and other species. That is why, to me, xel ha is a must see and a must do if you visit the yucatan .

Not sure what all the fuss was about but I just wasn't feeling this place. Not really much around unless you want o pay more more to swim with the dolphins. The cenotes were horrible and I just didn't see the allure with this one. It poured the rain so maybe the dampened my mood.
