Went to visit the Musee Herge a few years ago and was very impressed. A great museum to showcase the works of Herge, creator of Tin Tin, the world famous reporter. Not only the exhibition pieces are top of the range but also the architectural structure of the entire building is fabulous. You can easily spend a few hours just... More

Had a great time here, plus the added bonus of a Tintin flea market in the school next door to the museum. The in house restaurant was good also. My only gripe is that you are not allowed to take pictures inside the museum.

As we were staying in Brussels and had been given some tickets for Musee Herge we took the train out to Louvain La Neuve from Centraal Gare via Ottignies as it only took 1hr even with the change of trains. Much quicker than the direct 1hr 40min train. We took our three children 3,6 and 7 years old and within... More

This is the temple of Herge - and off course Tintin. The building, the setup, the material is overwelming. For a cartoon and Tintin lover this is the ultimate place to go and visit. Loved it! But - do not bring you kids - this is a place for adults to go deeper into the universe of Herge. Kids will... More

This will be interesting if you know the comic strips of Herge (Tintin), it shows the history of Herge, which type of research he did, what influenced his plots etc.

We came all the wayfrom London just to visit this Museum and it was worth the effort. We went from Gare Du Midi station at Brussels to Louvain La Neuve, its a small city and it seems a University city. There is a direct train but it took 1 hr 40 mins, you still bought your ticket with this destination... More

The "father" of Tintin wanted his sets to be realistic and consistent with the places where the action took place. The conceptors of this museum had the good idea to exhibit three dimension objects the drawings of which are in Tintin's books. This approach attracts adults. For young children there are interesting activies related, inter alia, with Tintin's trip to... More

Where most museums make use of new media in a nonsensical and uninformative way, this museum's smartphone audioguide really adds to a great experience offering additional info, pictures and a quiz on Hergé's comic book characters. Take a journey through a vast and colourful collection covering Hergé's work and life. So much interesting artwork, but also many other things like... More

We visited the museum on a rainy day in February. We drove from Ostende to Brussells, which is not recommended as the traffic is awful. We managed to find the museum and parking by sat nav, parking is about 10 mins walk away and cost 5 euros. It was 9 euros each to get in and this included a headset... More
