Stayed at Ashford Castle and went on the Corrib Cruise, located right on the Castle's property. What a lovely time we had, beautiful scenery and very informative. Patrick our Captain was wonderful and had so much info on the castle, lake and surrounding area. Highly recommend.

We were so fortunate to sail on the small boat, Corrib Queen, on a cool September day, with seven other passengers ( on a boat that normally holds fifty ) from the town of Oughterard, out across Lough Corrib to Ashford Castle and the village of Cong; the cruise included a stop on Inchagoill Island, which holds both a 5th... A lovely lake tour of the Logh Corrib with awesome views of the Connemara mountains. Departs Oughterard pier and stops for a guided tour of Inchagoill island that includes seeing St. Patricks 5th century monastic site. Next it stops at the amazing Asford Castle in the quaint village of Cong, Many scenes of the "Quiet Man " were filmed there... More

The Corrib Queen leaves Oughterard at 12midday returning for 6pm. It visits the largest island on Lough Corrib Inchagoill. David gives a great guided tour of both the lake and the island and then onto Cong village and Ashford Castle. It gives you lots of time to get some lunch in Cong and have a wander around the grounds of... More

This is a fun and informative one hour cruise on the Isle of Inisfree around Lough Corrib in County Mayo, Ireland. Patrick, the captain, tells stories of Ashford Castle and the lake which will keep you enthralled and interested. The day we went was cold and windy, but it was nonetheless a great time. Hot chocolate and coffee are available... More

While on a family trip to the west coast of Ireland April 2010 we saw a leaflet for the cruise and thought we'd give it a go. All three of us had a brilliant time and I would recommend it to anyone visiting in the area. The boat sails from Ashford castle in Cong everyday at 11am and 2.45pm. The... More
