Wanting to see the bridge lured us to Ma'an Village but in the end it was the village itself which delighted us more. The bridge is breathtaking but the Dong Minority people who live in the village are charming. The river was full of children enjoying the summer and the wooden structures in the village were in very good condition....

We spent 2 nights in the village of Ma'an where the Chengyang Bridge is, and we LOVED it! The scenery is gorgeous, rolling green hills and trees with rice fields surrounding the village. It was very quiant with people in the fields working by hand, drying out the rice. Women at the town center killing and plucking the chickens. Very...
